About

Vikas-Reddy-Jangam - Copy.jpg

With over 7 years of professional IT experience and a Masters degree in Human Computer Interaction at Indiana University, I have been working as a UX Designer and Strategist for over couple years helping drive both design and research projects to success for several banks and IT service companies.

I'm skilled in facilitating workshops, user interviews, focus groups, usability studies, and surveys. Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, designing journey maps, user flows, empathy maps, information architectures, personas, and presentations.

I really enjoy conducting generative and evaluative research studies helping companies shape their product strategy. I'm passionate about evangelizing design thinking and have conducted several workshops and brown bags both in school, at work, and in the community.

I am actively looking for opportunities and willing to relocate anywhere in the US.

SO, WHO REALLY AM I ?

I was born and raised in Hyderabad, a southern Indian city rich chaos and diversity. Yet, it somehow functioned very fluidly. My city use to fascinate me. I grew up questioning and challenging every moving thing around me.

The schooling system in India is highly focused on the STEM courses. I was drawn to computers at an early age. It naturally led to a bachelors in Computer Science.

Post bachelors, I worked as a IT consultant and a software developer for four years. Exposure to the real world and learning about the impact of technology on our societies inspired me to learn more and do more. I flew to the USA for a Master’s degree!

My time in the US helped me learn a lot more about myself and about the diversity of life in our world. I studied a little bit of computer science before I switched and got my Masters in and Human computer Interaction from IU. Then began my second innings in the real world as a Design Strategist solving a wide variety of user experience and design problems.

I believe that my journey has only begun and I am excited about exploring the uncharted territories I have set for myself. And I believe that the only way is the way forward…

Five years down the line, I have grown into a people-centric thinker, and maker of things, who seeks pleasure in making delightful product experiences and working with people. I aspire to make use of the skills to steer technology towards creating new possibilities and to do good in the society.
